We are pleased to announce exciting news about our extended out of hours and emergency cover.
You awake at 4:00am in the morning to the sound of your pet crying in pain or maybe it is a bank holiday and your pet has hurt themselves whilst playing and cannot stand up. Just like us, pets can become ill or suffer accidents at any time, with some emergency situations happening at times when your local vets maybe closed.
This is an all too familiar issue for owners and one which local practice, Pengelly & Mizen are aiming to combat, through a new partnership with out of hours provider Vets Now (The UK’s leading provider of emergency pet care, working with more than 1,000 veterinary practices to provide medical care). This will mean that clients and pets will have access to high quality veterinary care throughout the night, weekends and bank holidays, onsite at the Park Road practice.
Laura Frost who is a Clinical Director at Pengelly & Mizen said, “The practice has offered out of hours cover for many years however, we are pleased to announce that we will now be providing additional out of hours care and emergency cover right here at Pengelly & Mizen.
This means should you call us outside of our normal hours you will speak to a member of the Vets Now team who will be able to provide you with clinical advice or arrange an immediate appointment to see your pet if required.
The team will also provide continued care, monitoring and any examinations of your pet outside of our normal hours, ensuring that any changes are noted and required treatment given. In addition to medication, we know the importance that TLC and company can play in aiding you pet’s recovery, so please rest assured that your pet will receive these in abundance during their stay.
This partnership not only ensure that our clients and pets are looked after, it means that our vets and nurses get a good night’s sleep, so that we can continue to offer the high quality care that we pride ourselves on
With thanks to veterinary practices like Pengelly & Mizen, pet owners can seek medical attention for their pets 24/7, 365 days a year.
