Why Choose Our Veterinary Practice 

Pengelly & Mizen Veterinary Practice is a mixed practice, specifically we are 70% companion animal (cats, dogs, rabbits etc), 20% large animal (farm work and equine), and 10% dedicated to Official Veterinary Service (meat work, LVI for petfood exports).

The Practice is supported by a team of 6 Veterinary Surgeons, 4 Qualified Veterinary Nurses, an auxillary nurse, 4 receptionists and a Practice Manager. Trainee Veterinary Nurses attend local colleges on day-release.

At the Practice we can do most orthopaedic, ophthalmology, cardiology and other major surgery. We have an interest in all medical and surgical conditions.

All of our Veterinary Surgeons have their own special interests, such as; birds, reptiles or large animals. Ask the receptionists who they recommend if you have a particularly interesting pet.
